With over 25 years of experience in agency and corporate recruitment, I’ve built a career on finding and placing the kind of talent that moves businesses forward. I joined Edelman Public Relations in 1998 and quickly got to work transforming how the firm approached hiring — building trusted internal recruitment systems, reducing dependency on external search firms, and creating a culture that valued relationships over transactions.
What started as a role overseeing recruitment for just two offices soon became a national leadership position covering 60% of the firm’s business. Most recently, I served as Edelman’s Global Managing Director of Executive Recruitment, Search, and Succession. In that role, I led global searches, built succession and talent mapping frameworks, and prioritized inclusive hiring practices that brought fresh, diverse leadership into the company. Whether sourcing C-suite talent or mentoring new recruiters, I focused on strategic, high-touch search built on trust, insight, and long-term fit.
Now, as the founder of JBR Executive Search & Succession, I bring that same approach to a broader set of clients — helping organizations find leaders who not only meet the brief but raise the bar. I love what I do, and I’d love the chance to partner with your firm next.

Founder: Julie served as Global Managing Director of Executive Recruitment, Search, and Succession at Edelman, where she led executive-level searches essential to the company’s growth and success. Leveraging her expertise to identify and cultivate relationships with diverse, game-changing talent, she built a recruitment culture rooted in best practices, competitive intelligence, and an exceptional candidate experience. Before joining Edelman, she was an Executive Search Consultant at The Piper Group in London, where she launched a successful PR recruitment practice representing clients such as Edelman, Hill & Knowlton, and Weber Group. Julie’s early career began at Electronic Data Systems, where her record-setting achievements in talent placement set the foundation for her reputation as a trusted leader and advisor in executive search.Fun Fact: Julie has four kids that are named alphabetically!

Talent Sourcer: Alexa is a people-focused data strategist with over four years of experience in people analytics, HR data storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration. Her true passion—combining creativity, people, and data. Today, as a People Analyst at Eaton, Alexa helps lead the global implementation of Visier for more than 10,000 employees, using tools like Tableau, Visier, and SQL to drive smarter, faster people decisions. Blending technical curiosity with natural warmth, she brings data to life—making insights human, actionable, and deeply connected to the people behind the numbers.Fun Fact: Alexa began her career as a wedding planner, where she honed her attention to detail and developed a passion for creating memorable, magical experiences.
